Cadillac Mountain, in Acadia National Park, Maine, might be only a little over 1,500 ft. high, but proves that you don't have to be a zillion miles up in the air to get a great view of a given area. With the spectacular ocean-meets-mountains presence of Acadia National Park, Cadillac Mountain offers wonderful panoramic views, including Bar Harbor and the Cranberry Islands. Sunsets are especially pleasing -- many times with creamsicle-colored skies that just seem to go on and on, forever. Cadillac Mountain is truly the "Cadillac" of mountains in the Acadia National Park area -- you'd be hard-pressed to find a more scenic coastal mountain view in New England! While summer is the preferred tiome to visit, the fall foliage season offers equally impressive views with a little bit of color to liven things up even more -- and with fewer crowds of tourists traveling to see this phenomenal area of Maine.
