We are continually evolving
Broadway Church has been an evolving church from its inception. Founded by eighteen Swedes who were immigrants, adventurers, and pioneers, this spirit of exploration has been embraced by the congregation over the decades. From church programs, to worship styles, to teaching about evolving spiritual consciousness, Broadway is following the Spirit's leading into new healing and spiritual practices that move us into a closer experience of God and all that is holy around us, in us and through us.
Our spirituality finds meaning in service as well. We are currently expanding our missions to outreach in the community: mission trips to South Dakotan Indian Reservations, feeding the homeless through H.A.R.T. ministries and participating in Christmas in October.
Broadway's understanding of God has moved us away from the belief in an angry and punishing God to our experience of an unconditionally loving, connecting God. Like our founders, we are adventurers and pioneers. We have forayed into the Integral Stage of consciousness allowing us to reject old beliefs in order to grasp and participate in only those practices and beliefs that are life-giving.
We not only believe in evolution, we embrace it--growing into an ever evolving Christianity.

Broadway is an inclusive, theologicially progressive, healing community focused on the spiritual transformation that comes from following Jesus Christ.
Jesus turned no one away. Neither do we. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome.
Jesus treated everyone who wished to enter his new community of the Spirit as full and equal participants - rich and poor, male and female, gay and straight, young and old, beginner and advanced, and any other human situation. We seek to do that, too.
