| 제목 | Effects of the various pretreatments on the ash contents of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch |
| 초록 | Oil palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) originated from a palm oil mill, would not be suitable as feedstock/raw material for the thermal energy generation because of the higher ash contents including potassium, chlorine, silicon and calcium. The high ash contents could cause severe fouling, slagging, and ash melt-down during the combustion. Controlling mineral contents in the EFB by leaching processes with water, acid (H2SO4) or alkali (NaOH) could reduce the slagging and fouling problem in boiler. In this work, the effectiveness of the various pretreatments were compared.
