제목 활성탄소 분말을 이용한 전기이중층 캐패시터의 전기화학적 특성
초록 The electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) has the potential for high power density and long cycle life, and has been investigated for use as a memory backup system and a rechargeable power source in hybrid electric vehicles with battery. The high capacitance of EDLC can be realized because the activated carbon has a large surface area. However proper amount of conducting filler and proper binder choice can not be ignored for high capacitance and minimizing the cell dimension should be achieved to maximize the power or energy density. We used activated carbon powder with large surface area (3200㎡/g), organic binder and conducting filler for electrode materials and porous polypropylene membrane for separator. The specific capacitance could be obtained about 160F/g at initial stage and 130F/g at 100 charge-discharge cycle numbers with 5wt% of conducting filler. Also we investigated cyclic voltammetry and AC impedance with amount of conducting filler and with charge-discharge cycle number.
