제목 Molecular Motifs for Mitigating Non-Idealities in Soft Optoelectronics
초록 Solid-state fluorescence quenching in molecular semiconductors has set a monumental challenge in the field of soft optoelectronics and photovoltaics for decades. Especially, the strong inherent coupling between charge transport and luminescence renders previous synthetic attempts to simultaneously achieve high mobility and high fluorescence organic semiconductors nearly obsolete. To this end, we developed various molecular and microstructural motifs that can non-synthetically interfere with phonon-mediated non-radiative decays, alleviating such coupling in a broad wavelength range. An effective breakdown of intermolecular lattice-vibration coupling directly relieves predominant intramolecular contributions to thermal relaxations, boosting radiative efficiencies of highly mobile polaron pairs. Ultrafast spectroscopic and percolation studies further revealed a successful mitigation of non-ideal energy loss pathways in optoelectronic and photovoltaic devices through our approach.
