Specific 2025 Lincoln Navigator, F-150, Expedition, Bronco, and Ranger models have been subjected to a recall due to the potential for an Electronic Braking Booster malfunction.
This issue may result in the absence of power braking assistance while the vehicle is in motion or when the Advanced Driver Assistance System is activated.
Its high voltage fluctuation sensitivity is the primary cause of the issue.
A voltage decrease followed by a recovery may result in a surge in current that exceeds the system’s limits and causes the motor to be turned off. This is what will happen if the voltage decreases and then rises again.
This may lead to the activation of audio alarms, warning lighting, and messages displayed in the instrument cluster. Furthermore, the motorist may perceive an alteration in the brake pedal’s sensation.
As of July 11th, Ford was aware that this issue could have led to 37 warranty claims and one low-speed collision. Additionally, Ford was cognizant of one such collision. On the other hand, no reports of fires or casualties were considered. Neither of these events transpired.
