If you're having issues with email notifications:

Try these steps if you can't find your Facebook signup confirmation email.

Check your email notification settings to make sure that you haven't turned off email notifications.

Check your spam or junk email filter to make sure that emails coming from Facebook aren't being placed in this folder. If they are, add the @facebookmail.com email domain to your email account's safe senders list.

If you're still not receiving emails from Facebook, contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to ensure that they aren't blocking email traffic coming from Facebook.

If you're receiving email or text notifications about a Facebook account that doesn't belong to you, it’s possible that someone tried to add your email or mobile phone number to an account, or create a new account using your email or mobile phone number.

If someone has successfully created an account using your email, fill out this form.

To stop receiving notifications from your email, you can:

Add your email to your account. This will remove the email from any other accounts it’s associated with.

Click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of the emails.

To stop receiving notifications on your phone, you can:

Remove your phone number from your Facebook account. Learn how to remove the mobile phone number or add another to your account.

Reply STOP directly to the text message (SMS). You may also be able to stop receiving text notifications for all accounts by sending STOP to one of the codes listed below.

I didn’t receive a confirmation code to finish setting up Facebook texts.

If you recently moved your mobile phone number from a different mobile service provider, you may not be able to receive the confirmation code.

If you haven’t recently moved your number, try these tips:

Contact your mobile service provider to make sure you're sending a text message (SMS) to the right number .

Remove any signatures at the end of your text messages (SMS) which can interfere with Facebook getting those messages.

Try sending On or Fb to 32665 (FBOOK).

Wait 24 hours in case there's a delivery delay.

I want to set up Facebook texts, but my country or mobile carrier isn't listed as an option.

I want to set up Facebook texts, but my country or mobile carrier isn't listed as an option.

If your country or carrier isn't listed in the dropdown menu in the first step of the activation process, you won't be able to activate texts (SMS).

The list you see when you try to activate Facebook texts shows the countries and carriers that we have a mobile partnership with.

Note: You can still add a mobile number to your account from your mobile settings , even if you can't activate Facebook texts.

Check to make sure you've selected the notifications you'd like to receive by text message (SMS) by visiting your notifications settings .

Try removing your number , then reactivating Facebook texts.
