Create a community chat in a Facebook group

Community chats are chats created specifically for Facebook groups. Note that they are not available to all groups (example: commerce groups ) or people at this time.
You can use community chats for real-time conversations with other people in your group. For example, you can use community chats to coordinate an in-person event, discuss a topic that’s relevant to just some members, or socialize.

Troubleshooting
You might not be able to create a community chat if:
Community chats aren’t available in your group or available to you.
You’re a member and the admins don’t allow members to create or suggest chats.
The group already has 100 community chats. If you’re an admin or moderator, you can delete an existing chat.
You can also try these troubleshooting tips if something isn’t loading.
After a community chat is created
You must be a member of a group before you can join a community chat in that group. In private groups, group members with access to community chats can find the chat; preview it, which means they can see its participants and content before joining; and join it . In public groups, anyone can find and preview the community chats, but if participant approval is turned on, members must first be approved as a participant before they can send messages, react and participate in chats.
People who manage the group and/or community chat can:
Delete a community chat (admins and moderators)
Delete any content in a community chat (admins, moderators, and chat hosts)
Suspend, ban or remove someone from the group via the chat (admins and moderators)
Remove someone from a community chat (admins, moderators, and chat hosts)
Invite or remove chat hosts (admins)
Use Admin Assist to automatically manage community chats (admins)
Anyone in the chat can:
Leave the chat.
Turn notifications on or off.
Hide community chats on Messenger.
Report a community chat or content sent in a community chat.
