About politicians and Facebook Pages

Politicians may have a Facebook Page for their role as elected officials and a separate Page for their activities as a candidate for office. For example, a state legislator may have a Page to share information about campaign events and another Page to share information about community events and legislation they're sponsoring.
You may be automatically added as a follower of an elected representative's government Facebook Page if you started following their candidate Facebook Page soon after their election. Following the Facebook Page that represents a politician's government office is a way to make sure that you see the most relevant information about that politician's activities as an elected official.
