If you're having problems playing videos (including Reels ) on Facebook, then try some of the tips below.

Check your internet connection:

If your internet connection is slow, then try reconnecting to your Wi-Fi network or connecting to a different network.

Make sure your mobile device supports videos:

Make sure that your mobile device can play videos. If your device doesn’t support videos, then you’ll see thumbnail images of videos on Facebook but you won’t be able to watch them.

Restart or update your mobile device:

Restart your mobile device.

Update the operating system for your mobile device to the most recent version.

Autoplay videos begin automatically as you scroll. Videos use more data than other posts on Facebook, and may affect your mobile data plan.

You can change your video autoplay settings at any time. Learn how to stop videos from playing automatically in your Feed .

Autoplay settings on the Facebook app for iOS or Android :

When you change your settings on a mobile device, you can select from the following options:

On Mobile Data and Wi-Fi Connections : Videos will autoplay using a mobile data connection. The data used depends on the amount of time you spend watching a video. If you scroll past an autoplay video in Feed, your phone will use less data than if you stop to watch it for a longer period of time.

On Wi-Fi Connections Only : Videos will autoplay only when your phone or tablet is connected to Wi-Fi. If you're using Facebook on a mobile data connection, you'll have to click on a video to play it. If you click and play a video while using a mobile data connection, it will use mobile data.

Never Autoplay Videos : You'll always have to click on a video to play it. If you click and play a video while using a mobile data connection, it will use mobile data.

Note: You may need to click a video to play it, even if your autoplay settings are On Mobile Data and Wi-Fi Connections . This could happen if the mobile connection is slow or if you've used a large amount of mobile data recently.

There’s a video of you on Facebook that you want taken down

If you're tagged in a video you don't want to see on Facebook, you can remove the tag. When you do this, the video will no longer be linked to your timeline.

If you want the video to be removed from Facebook, please ask the person who posted it to take it down .

Remove the tagged video from your timeline :

1.

Tap

in the top right of Facebook, then tap your name.

2.

Scroll down to the video you'd like to remove.

3.

Tap

in the top right.

4.

Tap I don't want to see this .

5.

Tap Remove tag , then tap Remove tag to confirm.

Find and remove the tagged video using your Activity Log :

1.

Tap

in the top right of Facebook, then tap your name.

Tap

then tap Activity Log .

3.

Tap Manage Your Tags below Activity You're Tagged In .

4.

Scroll down to the video you'd like to remove.

5.

Tap

then tap Remove Tag .

6.

Select the option that best describes the issue and follow the on-screen instructions.

If someone is constantly tagging you in embarrassing videos, consider removing them as a friend or blocking them.
