Why Facebook may invite someone to be a group admin

In recently active groups without any active admins, Facebook may identify and invite eligible group member(s) to become admins . We consider an admin to be inactive if they haven’t moderated or engaged with the group for an extended period. In selecting eligible members to be added as admins, we consider such factors as their level of engagement and whether they have a history of Community Standards violations.
Before inviting eligible group members to become admins, Facebook will send a notification to the inactive admin(s) and give them 7 days to stop the process by selecting Decline. If an admin doesn't select Decline within 7 days, Facebook will invite eligible group members to become admins.
Note:
If Facebook invites someone to become an admin, the inactive admin(s) will still remain admin(s) of the group unless another admin removes them (note that admins who created the group can’t be removed), or they remove themselves as admins .
When a new admin is added through this process, the potential spam folder and some Admin Assist rules will be automatically enabled if they aren’t already turned on for the group. The new admin(s) should review the Admin Assist rules enabled for their group and make any modifications they want. Learn how to turn off the potential spam folder and how to modify or turn off Admin Assist .
Multiple members might be invited to become an admin and accept the invitation.
