Your activity log lets you review and manage what you've shared on Facebook. By default, it shows your activity from the current year, starting with your most recent activity.
Keep in mind that only you can see your activity log, but stories in your activity log may appear other places on Facebook, like on your Timeline, in search or in your friends' News Feeds.

What is activity log?
Activity log is a place where you can review and manage your Facebook activity. You can scroll through your content, or you can filter your content by category to review specific things like posts, posts you’re tagged in, photos and videos, friend requests and your events.
Note: Only you can see your activity log, but the posts and other content in your activity log may appear other places on Facebook, like on your timeline, in Search or in your friends' Feeds.
What’s included in activity log?
You’ll find many categories of your Facebook activity in activity log, organized by the date you added it to Facebook (starting with the most recent activity). Keep in mind, this means when you add a life event to your profile, it will show up in your activity log on the day you added it, not the day of the event itself.
Categories of your information in activity log include:
Your Posts
to review things like photos, videos, text and status updates you've shared on Facebook.
Activity You're Tagged In
to review things like posts, photos and comments you've been tagged in.
Interactions
to review things like likes, reactions and comments.
Groups and Events
to review things like your group activity and events you've created.
Profile information
to review things like your phone number and email address.
Connections
to review things like friends, Page likes and relationships.
Logged Actions and Other Activity
to review things like your devices, logins and videos you've watched.
Note: This list isn’t comprehensive. You can access most of the content you post to Facebook by logging into your account

Your activity log shows your Facebook activity in chronological order. Your activity includes things like content you’ve added to Facebook (such as posts you created and things you've liked), actions you've taken on Facebook (like adding or removing friends) and other information about you on Facebook. To find something specific, use the filters to narrow down your search.

at the top of your activity log.

, then select the Start Date and End Date that you'd like to see content for. Then tap Done
in the top right.
Note:
Only you can see your activity log, but the posts and other content in your activity log may appear other places on Facebook, like on your timeline, in Search or in your friends' Feeds.

You can view things (like posts, photos and videos) that you've hidden on your profile using activity log.
View things you've hidden on your profile

to review.
Keep in mind, things you've hidden on your profile are still visible to the audience they're shared with other places on Facebook, such as in Feed and Search.

You can use your activity log to hide or delete specific content on Facebook or move some of your Facebook content to your Archive
or Trash.
Here are some options you can choose from:
Hide from Timeline
. When you hide something you’ve shared on Facebook from your profile, it means people won't be able to see it when they visit your profile. Keep in mind, things you hide from your profile may still be visible to the audience they're shared with other places on Facebook, such as in Feed and Search.
Delete
. When you delete something from activity log, it will be deleted from Facebook and can’t be restored.
Move to Archive
. When you move your content to your Archive
, it’ll only be visible to you. If you choose to restore your content, it’ll be visible to the audience that was selected before it was moved to Archive
.
Move to Trash
. When you move content to your Trash
, it’ll stay there until it is automatically deleted 30 days later. While it’s in your Trash
, it’ll only be visible to you.
During the 30 days, you can restore your content to where you originally posted it on Facebook, move it to your Archive
or you can select content to delete before the 30 days are over. When you restore your content, it’ll be visible to the audience that was selected before it was moved to Trash
.
After 30 days, the content will be automatically deleted and can’t be restored.
Keep in mind, not all content in your activity log is able to be moved to Archive
or Trash

Depending on the type of content you’re reviewing, you may have different options. For example, you may also be able to Edit Privacy
of the content, which lets you choose a different audience
to share with. Or, for content that you’ve reacted to (example: if you’ve loved or liked a post), you’ll have the option to Remove Reaction

You can use the Manage Activity section of your activity log to select many pieces of content you’re tagged in and remove the tags at the same time.
Right now, this is only available on your iPhone, Android or Facebook Lite apps.

in the top left of your activity log to select all the content.

When you remove a tag, keep in mind:
The post or photo you're tagged in will still be shared with the audience selected by the person who made the post. These people may see it in Feed, search and other places on Facebook.
For example, if you’re tagged in a photo that your friend shared with their Facebook friends, when you remove your tag from that photo, the photo will still be visible to your friend’s Facebook friends.
Other ways to manage content that you’re tagged in:
Turn on timeline review
so you can review and approve all content that you’re tagged in before it appears on your timeline.
Go to your Timeline and Tagging settings
to choose who can see content that you’re tagged in
. Keep in mind, the post or photo you're tagged in will be shared with the audience selected by the person who made the post and the audience you choose in your settings.
Report any content
that you’re tagged in that goes against our Community Standards
.
Ask the person who posted the content to take it down
.

You can manage some of the content you share on Facebook, like posts, photos and videos, from the Manage Activity
section of your activity log.
From here, you can select one or more pieces of content at a time and choose to:
Move to Archive
. When you move content to your Archive
, it’ll only be visible to you. If you choose to restore your content, it’ll be visible to the audience that was selected before it was moved to Archive
.
Move to Trash
. When you move content to your Trash
, it’ll stay there until it is automatically deleted 30 days later. While it’s in your Trash
, it’ll only be visible to you.
During the 30 days, you can restore your content to where you originally posted it on Facebook, move it to your Archive
or you can select content to delete before the 30 days are over. When you restore your content, it’ll be visible to the audience that was selected before it was moved to Trash

Content that you move to Trash is not deleted right away, but will be automatically deleted after 30 days. Unless you choose to delete the content earlier, during those 30 days the content remains subject to our Terms of Service

If you still can't find the information you're looking for in your activity log, it could be because:
It doesn't exist for the category or dates that you're reviewing.
For example, you won't see any activity about events in 2005 because Facebook Events didn't exist yet.
It isn’t accessible through activity log. You can also find your information using:

to download a copy of your Facebook information. You can choose to download a complete copy of your information, or you can select the specific categories and date ranges you want. Learn more about downloading your information on Facebook

Review the categories of data available to you

The information was deleted from Facebook.
You won't find information or content that you deleted because we delete that content from Facebook.
