What do I need to do if I’m running ads about social issues, elections or politics on Facebook?

Classic Pages on Facebook are updating to the new Pages experience . You’ll still have access to many of the same features to manage your professional presence, build your brand or business, grow your audience and connect with followers. Your content, insights, ads, Likes and followers will automatically transfer when your Page updates.
We require any Pages that are running ads about social issues, elections, or politics in the U.S. to have a Page Owner. If you already have a verified Business Manager claiming ownership of your Page, that organization is already listed as your Page Owner. If you want a different Page Owner than the one listed, learn more about changing your Page Owner .
If you do not have a verified Business Manager or currently show a blue-badge public figure as your Confirmed Page Owner, you can:
Complete Facebook’s business verification process and claim your Pages in Business Manager. Learn how to complete Facebook's business verification process .
Assign one of your existing disclaimers as a Page Owner. If you choose a disclaimer created through the Tax-Registered, Government Organization, or FEC-Registered options, this disclaimer will be considered a Confirmed Page Owner. Learn more about confirmed page owners . If you choose a disclaimer created through the self-declared option or a disclaimer that is a Page Admin’s name, this disclaimer will be considered a Page Owner.
Create a disclaimer as part of our authorizations process to run ads about social issues, elections, or politics. After the disclaimer is created, assign this disclaimer as your Page Owner. Learn how to create a disclaimer .
