After you create an event, you can't change the event’s privacy settings. Example: You can’t change a public event to a private event.
A private event is only visible to the people who are invited. They can see the event description, photos, posts and videos.
You can choose to allow guests to invite their friends. This means that they can invite others to the event, including people you may not know or who are not Facebook or Messenger users. Learn more about privacy settings for events

Create a private event

Tap
at the top of Facebook.

Tap Events
, then tap + Create Event
.
3.
Tap Privacy
, then select Private
. Remember, you can’t change this setting after you create the event.

Tap the toggle next to Guests Can Invite Friends
if you want to turn off this setting.

Classic Pages on Facebook are updating to the new Pages experience
. You’ll still have access to many of the same features to manage your professional presence, build your brand or business, grow your audience and connect with followers. Your content, insights, ads, Likes and followers will automatically transfer when your Page updates.
To create a recurring event, log in to Facebook from a computer.
You can create a recurring Page event for events that repeat or happen over multiple days. Events can only recur 52 times, and location and timezone can't be edited once an event has started.
Create a recurring event for your Page
1.
Log in to Facebook from a computer.
2.
Click your profile picture in the top right.
3.
Click See all profiles
, then select the Page you want to switch into.
4.
From your Feed, click Events
in the left menu. You may need to click See more
first.
5.
Click + Create new event
on the left.
6.
Enter event details including the Event Name
, time, location and description.
7.
Scroll down and click Repeat event
.
8.
Click Frequency
to choose whether to repeat this event Daily
or Weekly
.
9.
Choose an End Date
and End Time
when you want the event to stop repeating.

There are limits to what you can edit on your Facebook event. If you need to edit something that can't be changed, you'll need to cancel your event
and make it again.

Event names must accurately reflect the event. Only the host of the event can manage event details

Event names can't include:
Terms or phrases that may be abusive or violate someone's rights.
Improper capitalization. Event names must use grammatically correct capitalization and may not include all capital letters, except for acronyms. The first letter of the event name must be capitalized.
Symbols (example: ®) or unnecessary punctuation.
Long descriptions, such as a slogan. Event names are limited to 64 characters.

When you create an event
, you can choose its privacy setting. You can’t change the privacy setting after the event has been created. Example: You can’t change a public event to a private event.

Private
: Visible only to the people who are invited. You can choose to allow guests to invite their friends. People who are invited can see the event description, photos, posts and videos.
Public
: Visible to anyone on or off Facebook. Anyone can see things like the event description, photos, posts and videos. All events hosted by a Facebook Page are public.
Friends
: Visible only to your Facebook friends. Your friends can see the event description, photos, posts and videos.
Group
: The group privacy setting determines who can see the event.
Public group
: Visible to anyone on or off Facebook. Anyone can see things like the event description, photos, event discussion and videos.
Private group
: Visible only to members of the group. Group members can see the event description, photos, posts and videos.

Anyone can download
and export information about their events activity, such as a list of events they’ve been invited to. Keep this in mind if you’re considering naming the event something private.

If you delete an event by accident, you must create a new event
.
If you delete an event, you won't be able to restore it. Everything will be deleted, and no one will be able to post in it. A notification will be sent to everyone who was invited and who hasn't already declined or removed themselves from the invite.
If you cancel an event, you'll no longer be able to make changes to it, but people will still be able to post in it.
