Create a private Facebook event

After you create an event, you can't change the event’s privacy settings. Example: You can’t change a public event to a private event.
A private event is only visible to the people who are invited. They can see the event description, photos, posts and videos.
You can choose to allow guests to invite their friends. This means that they can invite others to the event, including people you may not know or who are not Facebook or Messenger users. Learn more about privacy settings for events .
