About Accounts Center
Your Accounts Center
is a place where you can manage connected experiences (like logging in across your accounts) for your Facebook, Instagram and Meta accounts.
You can add Facebook, Instagram and Meta accounts to the same Accounts Center.
After you add accounts to the same Accounts Center, we’ll use information across those accounts to provide a more personalized experience like personalized ads and suggesting accounts to follow across Meta technologies like Facebook, Instagram and Meta Horizon
.
What happens when you add your accounts to the same Accounts Center
What happens when you add your accounts to the same Accounts Center
After your accounts are added to the same Accounts Center, you can manage different connected experiences like:
Sharing posts, stories or
reels
across your Instagram and Facebook profiles.
To share from your Horizon profile, go to Meta Horizon Worlds
.
You can comment on Instagram reels recommended to you on Facebook with an Instagram account you’ve added to the same Accounts Center. You can change the Instagram account used for commenting by selecting a different Instagram account to share to.
Logging in with your Facebook, Instagram or Meta accounts.
When you enable logging in with accounts
, you’ll be able to use login information from one account to log into other accounts you have across Meta apps, as long as these accounts are added to the same Accounts Center.
For example, when you download Instagram on a new device and you’re already logged into Facebook, you can use your Facebook login info to log into Instagram.
Enabling logging in with accounts will also let you use Messenger on Meta Horizon, if your Facebook account is added to the same Accounts Center as your Meta account.
You can choose to disable logging in with accounts anytime in Accounts Center, and maintain separate login info for different accounts.
Syncing your name, profile picture, username and/or avatar across Facebook, Instagram and/or Meta Horizon
. To sync your profile picture, username or avatar, you also have to sync your name. This means that:
When you sync your name, your name will become the same across all of the profiles you’ve chosen to sync.
People will be able to see and search for you with this name and username on Facebook, Instagram and Meta Horizon.
People may also see suggestions (like to add you as a friend or to follow you) associated with this name, username, avatar and profile picture across Facebook, Instagram and Meta Horizon.
If you sync profile information across Facebook, Instagram or Meta Horizon, changes you make to your profile information (such as your name, username, profile picture and avatar) will appear across all of your profiles with synced info.
If you remove an account from an Accounts Center, your profile info for profiles in that account will no longer sync.
Note:
You can’t sync profile information from a Facebook, Instagram or Meta Horizon profile to another profile on the same product (for example, you can’t sync two Instagram profiles, or two Facebook profiles).
Syncing your shopping activity across accounts
. When your shopping activity is synced across Facebook and Instagram, you’ll have access to features like:
Your wishlist will be visible to you on Facebook and Instagram. You’ll be able to add and see items in your wishlist from all connected accounts.
Your recently viewed items will be visible to you across your accounts.
Note:

Following people on Meta Horizon
. You’ll be able to:
Automatically send follow requests to your Facebook friends or people you follow on Instagram who also have Meta Horizon profiles and have chosen to show their Facebook and/or Instagram profiles with their Meta Horizon profile.
Note:
You can only enable this connected experience if you have a Meta account.
Showing your other profiles in Meta Horizon
. You’ll be able to:
Choose which names or usernames are shown in each of your profiles.
Update your Meta Horizon profile to show your Facebook name or Instagram username, and decide who can see this information (for example, anyone or only your followers on Facebook and/or Instagram who also use Meta Horizon).
Note:
You can only enable this connected experience if you have a Meta account and a Facebook and/or Instagram account in the same Accounts Center.
These profiles may be visible together when you’re suggested to others.
People will be able to see and search for you by your Facebook, Instagram, or Meta Horizon profile information.
You can always see your Facebook name and Instagram profiles in your own Meta Horizon profile. This setting controls how others can see your Facebook name and Instagram profiles.
View media captured in Meta Horizon Worlds in your Facebook or Instagram photo galleries through Meta Cloud Albums
. You’ll be able to:
Choose which of your accounts in an Accounts Center can access media captured from Meta Horizon Worlds from your Meta Horizon profile.

Share stories, posts and/or reels across your Instagram and Facebook profiles
. Note:
Any Instagram posts that were already shared to Facebook will still be visible on Facebook, and any Facebook posts that were already shared to Instagram will still be visible on Instagram.
If you’ve shared a story across Instagram and Facebook, it will still be visible on Facebook and Instagram until its 24-hour period of time is complete. Learn more about how to delete photos or videos from your story on Facebook

Log in with accounts
. This means that:
You’ll no longer be able to use Facebook to log into Instagram or Instagram to log into Facebook.
If you created an Instagram account with a Facebook account and you decide to remove that Instagram account from the same Accounts Center as your Facebook account, then you’ll be prompted to create a password for Instagram. This also applies to Facebook accounts created using an Instagram account.
We won’t log you out of any sessions or devices. To review and log out of any sessions, you can visit your Facebook settings
or Instagram settings
.
Sync your name, profile picture, username or avatar across Facebook, Instagram and Meta Horizon
.
If you remove an account from an Accounts Center, your profile info for profiles in that account will no longer sync. Any future changes you make to your name, profile picture, username or avatar will only apply to the profile you’re updating.

How we use your information across your accounts in the same Accounts Center
How we use your information across your accounts in the same Accounts Center
Accounts Center helps you easily access features that work across our products.
When you add accounts to the same Accounts Center, we’ll combine and use your info across those accounts. Here’s what we’ll use it for:
We’ll provide you with controls over connected experiences
. This means you can do things like:
Share your own posts across your Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Follow people you know on Horizon.
We’ll personalize ads for you and others, and measure how they perform. This means we do things like:
Show you more relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram
based on your profile information and activity across your accounts.
We’ll personalize content and suggestions for you and others. This means we do things like:
Recommend relevant reels to you on Facebook or Instagram.
Help organizations understand how people are engaging with their posts, videos and other content.
We’ll adjust some account info and settings to match across your accounts, which you can manage anytime
. This means we do things like:
If you add a new account that has a different birthday than your other accounts in an Accounts Center, we may ask you to select your accurate birthday before your new account can be added.
We’ll suggest friends and accounts to follow.
We’ll improve our products and provide optional activities that span across them. This means you can do things like:
Participate in surveys and other research about what you like about our products.
Create AR effects to use across your accounts on different products.
Create fundraisers across Facebook and Instagram.
You can add or remove accounts
from the same Accounts Center at any time in Settings. We’ll stop combining your info across these accounts for the above uses within 15 days after you remove them. Your previously combined info would remain combined.
Also, having accounts in the same Accounts Center does not affect whether:
We use info across accounts to keep you and others safe.
We use info across accounts to more accurately count people and measure how they use our products.
We use info across accounts to make sure our products are working correctly so we can fix them if they’re not.
We use info across your accounts on the same product.
