Prolific Pakistani-American jazz guitarist and composer, Rez Abbasi and his quartet, will make their Jazz Room debut. Abassi’s music fuses modern jazz and traditional Indian music creating a vivid and innovative musical soundscape. Abbasi was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship in 2021 for composition and has released 14 studio albums.
The Jazz Room, JazzArts Charlotte ’s monthly event series, provides a casual and intimate setting with cabaret tables and a full bar, reminiscent of the classic jazz rooms of yesteryear.
