NL Lotto 2007? NL Lotto 2007 Promo? This scam lottery winning notification is almost amusing since, they never even claim a name for the organization that is sponsoring it. We suppose from the return email address used ( payoutoffice_nllotto2007promo@yahoo.de ) that we are supposed assume one of these names. But of course, it's a free Yahoo email address. Hardly, what a real lottery would use. Oddly, REAL lotteries (that give out millions each year) can afford to buy their own domain name and email address (which costs less than $200 per year)
Note the usual clues to an obvious fraud that we have highlighted in the letter; keep confidential, selected by a random computer lottery, use of free hotmail/yahoo email accounts, etc. And despite wanting to give you $1,500,000... they can't even address you by name (attn: Sir/Madam).
Attn:Sir/Madam ,We are pleased to inform you of the result of the Lottery Winners
International programs held on the 20th of January, 2007. Your e-mail address attached to ticket number 653164251591-6011 with serial number 7321410,batch number 151085135,lottery ref number 6376527711 and drew lucky numbers 4-9-17-36-44-78 which consequently won in the 1st category, you have therefore been approved for a lump sum pay out of 1.500,000.00 Euros (One Million, Five Hundred Thousand Euros)
