Position Purpose
The Sexual Violence Prevention Project ( SVPP ) Assistant will work closely with the Associate Director & Director for Sexual Violence Prevention of the Student Wellness Center, to assist the SVPP team in the development and implementation of the presidential initiative to provide a comprehensive and mandatory four-year prevention and educational experience for all Dartmouth undergraduate students. Associates or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Suite, MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent administrative, project management, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects and events under tight deadlines and quality standards.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to foster positive and productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Accurate attention to detail.
  • Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1-2 years of professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of topics related to sexual violence and sexual violence prevention.
  • Experience in graphic design including Canva or other design software.
  • Experience in marketing and social media (e.g., Instagram).
  • Experience working in a higher education environment or with college-aged individuals.
  • Experience working with marginalized people (e.g., African-American, Asian-American, Faith-Based, International, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, Native American).
  • Training or experience in Student Wellness Center philosophies and approaches (e.g., motivational interviewing, bystander intervention, behavior change theory, social norms theory, etc.)

Key Accountabilities
Description
Assists the SVPP team with developing and implementing aspects of the Sexual Violence Prevention Project including identifying, facilitating, and responding to logistical needs of the project.

Works closely with the SVPP and SWC team to plan, organize, and create communications, reports , web content, social media, and other marketing materials for the project.

Plans, manages, coordinates, and seeks to improve administrative project functions to help ensure timely, effective, and efficient department operations.

Conducts research and acquires background information needed to develop, revise, or tailor student programs as part of the Sexual Violence Prevention Project.

Provides additional administrative assistance to the Associate Director.
