Spindles
If small tools are used for machining, high speeds are required for a high cutting output in order to manufacture high quality workpieces in a cost-effective manner. DATRON offers high-frequency (HF) spindles in several power categories for speeds ranging from 5,000 - 60,000 rpm. These spindles run smoothly, deliver highly accurate results, and can be used for a wide range of applications.
Our hybrid ball bearings, compact construction, and superior rigidity achieved through a special bearing arrangement all result in a very high run-out accuracy of up to 2 µm. An electronic fine balancing system results in quiet and low-vibration operation. Wear-proof and maintenance-free three phase current asynchronous motors and a lifetime lubrication reduce maintenance expenditure to a minimum. Air lock prevents dirt and dust from entering the inner part of the spindle. The pneumatically actuated tool holding fixture makes automatic tool change possible.

Spindle Replacement Program:
We are dedicated to customer satisfaction — and while our high-frequency spindles are among the most reliable on the market, they do have intricate working parts that sometimes require service. With the knowledge that the time required for spindle repair impacts both the production and throughput of our customers, DATRON has developed a spindle exchange program where replacement spindles are delivered, in most cases, within 24 hours. Compared to other industry high-speed spindle replacement programs, DATRON offers a program that is much lower in cost. The customer also has the option of easily replacing the spindle themselves ... with our easy-to-follow directions.
