Read MoreRamsey Dog Club was established in 1984 and has always provided affordable training within the local community. I am the lead trainer and owner of the Club and am qualified to a Level 3 in Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour, backed by the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT). Also qualified as a bronze level instructor for the UK Sniffer Dogs. I started out as a pupil at the club 24 years ago with my first dog, Ella who was a Labrador, then added to my family with Tara who was an Australian Shepherd. She gave me the chance to really upskill with my handling experience. I am currently training my two girls, Button an 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel cross Labrador and Bumble a 5-year-old Working Cocker Spaniel. I work full time and the dog club is something I do in my spare time. I am proud to continue running the Club in the way it was intended as a friendly affordable Club, based on ethical training methods. Ramsey Dog Club is a club which offers classes catering for different levels of training from puppy and all throughout adulthood. We have two additional qualified trainers, with experience in competing in Flyball and also Agility. As this is a Club, we do not run set courses and believe dog training is for life and the Club is there for as long as you need it. We offer within the lessons a wide variety of training techniques which can be used across multiple activities if you wish to pursue these further, or whether you are doing it for fun. All training is beneficial and will help to enhance the bond you have with your dog. We do not use harsh methods and keep the learning fun. We use positive reinforcement training founded on science-based behaviour techniques with a simple approach. I have experience having trained my own dogs across the years within Competitive Obedience, Gun Dog Obedience, Agility, Rally, Heelwork to Music and Hoopers. All the skills used within these elements are brought into the classes to add variety for both handlers and dogs. Families are very welcome to come and train together. Ramsey Dog Club is currently running 4 group classes on a Sunday afternoon (outdoor lessons) and 3 group classes on a Monday evening. Based at Cromwell Farm Boarding Kennels, Warboys Road, Bury PE26 2NU.

I have been a member for 10 years and me and my three dogs love it, and learn so much. All the trainers are so kind and knowledgeable. They look at your dog as an individual and will always try new ways so thy can achieve their goal. I still bring my 11 year old dog because she loves it and still benefits - you are never to old to learn
