These are templates of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) required written programs that you can save and modify to your company's specifications

(Note: These examples are provided only as general guides to assist employers in developing written programs. They are not intended to supersede the requirements of the OSHA standards, as found in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), nor do they represent complete written programs.)

The following plans include all elements required by the . The intent of this model is to provide employers with an easy-to-use format that may be used as a template to develop a written plans tailored to the individual requirements of their establishments.

  • Sample Exposure Control Plan . Part of OSHA's eTools for hospitals and nursing homes. This sample plan was included in OSHA's proposed tuberculosis standard (Appendix F to proposed 29 CFR 1910.1035, 62 Fed. Reg. 54160, Oct. 17, 1997), but OSHA withdrew the proposed rule in May 2003.

Sample Programs From State Consultation Programs

A number of On-site Consultation Programs provide collections of sample safety and health programs on their Websites, including those listed below. The On-site Consultation Programs are run by the states with funding from OSHA. If you are in a state with an OSHA-approved state program , please check with your state agency.

These sample programs provide examples of written programs on various workplace safety and health topics. They are not intended to supersede the requirements in OSHA standards. Employers should consult the applicable OSHA standards when developing their own customized programs that are tailored to their workplace. Contact your State On-Site Consultation Program to request help in developing customized programs.
