The management of Dan Hotels in Israel has announced the appointment of Matan Lerner as the new General Manager of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, which is the flagship property of the group that commenced operations in 1930.

Lerner previously served as general manager of both the Dan Caesarea and Dan Accadia resorts on Israel’s Mediterranean shore, overseeing their impressive renovation and upgrading, assuring their continued profile as Israel’s premier Mediterranean resorts. He joined Dan Hotels in 2019 after managing Tel Aviv’s Montefiore Hotel, Israel’s first luxury boutique hotel.
He will assume his new role in Jerusalem on July 1st with the intention of steering the growth and ongoing enhancement of Israel’s grandest hotel as it nears its centenary in 2030.
Lerner replaces Tamir Kobrin, who joined the King David in 2020 and is taking up a management position in Italy.
