The Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel has announced the appointment of Shaileen Jiwa as its new General Manager, effective June 2025. With over twenty years of international hospitality experience and a proven record in operational excellence and people-focused leadership, Shaileen is set to guide the hotel into its next phase of growth as one of Dubai’s most renowned heritage destinations.
Before her tenure at the Queen Elizabeth 2, Shaileen served as General Manager at MGallery Gem Forest Nairobi. Her professional journey includes senior leadership positions at prestigious establishments, such as Tribe and Trademark Hotels in Nairobi, the historic Drake Hotel, and Canada’s inaugural Canopy by Hilton in Toronto. She is recognized for her vibrant leadership approach, strategic foresight, and her capacity to craft memorable guest experiences, which has earned her a reputation for delivering results and nurturing high-performing, inclusive teams.
In her new capacity, Shaileen will manage all operations of the Queen Elizabeth 2, a historic ocean liner transformed into a floating hotel that continues to attract visitors from across the globe, solidifying its status as a premier hospitality, heritage, and events venue in Dubai.
