STARLUX Airlines, based in Taiwan, has confirmed a firm order with Airbus for an additional five A350F freighters. This new order effectively doubles the airline’s previous commitment made last year for five units of the innovative cargo aircraft. The A350F fleet is set to be operated by STARLUX Cargo on some of the most heavily trafficked freight routes globally.
Currently, STARLUX Airlines maintains a fleet of 26 Airbus aircraft, which includes the A321neo, A330neo, and A350-900 models.
The A350F, which is still under development, boasts a maximum payload capacity of 111 tonnes and a range of up to 4,700 nautical miles (8,700 kilometers). Equipped with the advanced Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, this aircraft is designed to achieve a reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions of up to 40% compared to earlier aircraft generations with similar payload and range capabilities.
Additionally, the A350F is distinguished by having the largest main deck cargo door in the industry, with its fuselage length and capacity specifically optimized for standard industry pallets and containers.
