Congratulations to Mr. Jose Duran on his recognition as a December 2023/January 2024 FCPS CARES  Recipient!

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story below, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.

Jose Duran, Herndon ES 

"Eric and I just wanted to send a formal thank you to our custodians and Jose in particular. With so much work spread between so few people, we know that our cottage is easy to overlook but that has never been the case this year! Jose has been such a kind man and thorough worker; our classrooms have never been so well cared for. He’s so friendly and always has a big smile. We’re truly fortunate to have him at Herndon ES! The students love to thank him and wave good-bye at the end of the day when he is ready at the door for students to leave. Somehow, he always finds time for our chaotic rooms, and we would love for him to be recognized for what that means for us. Again, thank you to Jose (and to both our admin team and Building Supervisor, Santa Gabin, for the work of keeping all of these gears spinning so that we can have Jose’s great work!"
