Robinson FBLA members Michael Orilla and Gabriella Perrin are recognized for their distinguished efforts to encourage environmental stewardship in elementary school students at our pyramid school, Bonnie Brae. Collaborating with the Get2Green at Bonnie Brae, the two students led their community service project by organizing Robinson volunteers to visit Bonnie Brae once a month to teach about the importance of taking care of the environment.
“It was really fun! I'm super glad I got to help the younger generation learn about taking care of the earth and their environment” - Arthur T, Robinson FBLA member
This project is an extension of Robinson FBLA’s previous service project focused on glass recycling in Clifton. After seeing the impact that the recycling bin left in the community, Michael and Gabi were inspired to continue leading change towards a greener future. Now, the two programs work together to make Robinson a more sustainable community. Additionally, Members have reached out to legislators at all levels, not only to provide accolades but to help Get2Green expand across FCPS schools entirely.
