School Summary

Marshall Road Elementary maintains a small-town atmosphere as it capitalizes on the major cosmopolitan area surrounding it. The school opened its doors in 1961; the building was completely renovated in 2000, and a new wing was added in 2015.

Marshall Road Elementary School is a professional learning community that creates an environment of learners in a safe and nurturing atmosphere. The faculty collaborates to ensure all students receive a high level of instruction across the curriculum.

Students and faculty strive to develop a strong mind, body and character, setting rigorous yet attainable goals in all areas. Utilizing the Responsive Classroom approach, we foster and respect individual strengths and differences. Our school promotes environmental and community stewardship for all.

We honor diversity by providing a continuum of services for all students. Marshall Road and George Washington University continue to partner as a professional development school, training special education teachers to be skilled professionals in the field.
