School Summary

Bonnie Brae Elementary staff members are dedicated to providing a high-quality instructional program for all students. Through ongoing parent and community involvement, staff members are able to support students in their efforts to maximize individual potential as well as grow socially and emotionally in their development of positive citizenship skills.

Students benefit from a strong educational program presented through a variety of teaching strategies designed to address the individual learning style of students. Technology is used to support and enhance core curriculum areas at all grade levels. An increasingly culturally diverse student population offers many opportunities to learn about and appreciate differences in the cultures of the community.

Bonnie Brae students also benefit from the support of a variety of outside resources. Students form new friendships and are supported by mentors and tutors from the community. Bonnie Brae staff members work closely with George Mason University, providing future teachers the opportunity to benefit from the skills and expertise of staff members as well as opportunities to work with Bonnie Brae students.

Active parents and community members also support Bonnie Brae through individual efforts in a variety of projects. These resources serve to promote our priority to support and challenge each Bonnie Brae student to be successful in reaching his or her highest potential.
