Kindergarten at Louise Archer Elementary lays the foundation for a joyful and successful learning journey. Students build confidence as learners while developing early academic skills through exploration, play, and meaningful connections to their world.
Language ArtsStudents build early literacy skills through listening, speaking, letter recognition, phonics, and shared reading. They begin expressing ideas through drawing and writing and develop foundational comprehension skills.
MathematicsKindergarten math focuses on number sense, counting, comparing quantities, basic addition and subtraction concepts, shapes, patterns, and measurement through hands-on exploration.
ScienceStudents explore the natural world through observation and inquiry, learning about living and nonliving things, weather, motion, and basic physical properties.
Social StudiesLearning centers on understanding self, family, and school communities. Students explore rules, roles, and traditions and begin developing citizenship skills.
