Ms. McKinney is thrilled to serve as the school counselor at Bailey’s Elementary. She earned her Master’s degree in School Counseling from Bowie State University and has strong foundation of social-emotional learning and trauma-informed practices.

Ms. McKinney is passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. She believes in building strong relationships with students, families, and teachers to create a positive and inclusive school environment. Whether she’s leading classroom lessons, meeting with students one-on-one, leading a group or supporting families, her goal is to help every child feel loved, valued, safe, and confident.

In her free time, Ms. McKinney enjoys traveling, reading, volunteering, and spending time with her family.
