Families should be able to see SOL results in SIS Parent Vue.  The week of June 8, SOL family score report PDFs will post to SIS ParentVUE Documents.

Please Check Your Student’s Lunch Balance

It’s a busy time of year, and we know many priorities are on your plate. As we approach the end of the school year, it is important to check your student’s MySchoolBucks account and pay any remaining school meal balance.

Free and Reduced-Price Meals

Families who earn less than 185% of the poverty level qualify for free and reduced-price meals (FRM) . However, an application must be completed and submitted each school yearto receive that benefit. The application for the 2026-27 school year will be available this summer.

If you have a current balance and think you may be eligible for free and reduced-price meals, please fill out the FRM application for the 2025-26 school year .

The Fairfax County Government recently adopted its FY 2027 Budget, and at the funding levels provided, there is currently a $28 million budget gap. In addition, the state budget has not been finalized. At last Thursday's School Board meeting, the superintendent proposed adjustments that would balance the FCPS budget.

Hello Camelot Families,

As many of our field trips will be taking place in the next few weeks, we want to say a huge thank you to the PTA and to families for all of the fundraising efforts, especially through the Fun Run and PTA Restaurant Nights, to make field trips affordable for all Camelot kids.  These field trips help all kids access many of the sites around the DMV--and the charter bus rides in grades 3-6 are adventures in and of themselves!

The next time you are at Camelot you may notice the many outside cameras that have been installed around the building to give views of the entire school grounds.  We were on the FCPS list for this security enhancement and are pleased to now have the cameras in place.  They will be operational in the next few weeks.

We look forward to seeing families at school at the end of the month for our Donuts with Grownups events (see below).  In the meantime, reach out if you have any questions.

One more thing--We want to share that Mr. Van, our beloved building supervisor, will be leaving Camelot at the end of the month.  He is moving to part-time work with transportation.  If you or your child would like to send him a note, teachers will be happy to get them to him.

Pre-K and Early Head Start Programs

FCPS Pre-K and Early Head Start programs provide a high-quality early learning experience for qualifying children with economic and educational risk factors, ages 6 weeks to 4 years, living in Fairfax County.

  • Pre-K prioritizes 4-year-old applicants but also accepts applications for children who will be 3 years old by September 30 of the same year.
  • Early Head Start is located at three elementary schools — Clearview, Crestwood, and Dogwood — and accepts applications from pregnancy to 2 years old.

Families are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Space is limited and provided based on need, not on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applications are accepted online , by email , by mail, or in person at the program office at 7423 Camp Alger Avenue, Falls Church, Virginia 22042 .

If you have a question about the application process or status, please call 703-208-7900 (English) or 703-208-7901 (Spanish).
