Advanced Placement (AP) Testing Calendar
This schedule only shows the exams Centreville High School will be administering in the 2025-2026 school year.
Registering for AP Exams
If you are enrolled in a class at Centreville High School you must use the join code provided by your AP teacher to register for your exams by logging in to your College Board account.
Having issues with accessing your College Board account?
If you have issues accessing your College Board account, there is a help page that can help you access your account here: https://pages.collegeboard.org/account-help .You can also contact the College Board at 888-225-5427 .
How to sign up for an AP exam if you’re not enrolled in the course:
If any student wants to take an AP exam in a course that they are not enrolled in, registration is now open. Each exam costs $99. Please use the AP Exam Only registration form to register. Students currently enrolled in the course at Centreville High School are automatically registered for the AP exam by entering in the join code for the associated course they are enrolled in. You DO NOT need to complete the registration form. The deadline to register for an exam only student is by October 31. Payment can be submitted through MySchoolBucks or by check. Payment is required in order to receive the exam only join code to complete the exam registration.
Exam Location and Times
Exam locations:
Students and families will receive a letter in April 2026 with information about their exam dates, locations, and times.
AP Exam Times:
Morning AP exams begin at 8:00am- students should arrive no later than 7:45am. Most morning exams are completed by 12:00pm.
Afternoon AP exams begin at 12;00pm- students should arrive no later than 11:45am. Afternoon exams typically run to 3:30-4pm; therefore, students need to arrange their own transportation unless it is on a late bus day (Monday & Thursday).
Exam Conflicts and Late Exams
If a student is scheduled to take a morning and afternoon exam on the same day, they will be provided with a brief lunch break in between the exam sessions. Students should plan to bring morning and afternoon snacks. Having two exams in the morning and afternoon does not meet the College Board late exam policy so we won’t be able to request a late exam. Late exams are only permitted for students who are scheduled to take two exams at the SAME time on the SAME day.
Students who arrive after the test has started will not be admitted nor permitted a make up exam.
I have a conflict with the date of my AP exam. What should I do?
Possible conflicts include a religious holiday, an academic competition or event, an athletic contest, a conflict with another AP exam, a family commitment, or another school event. Contact your AP Coordinators, Autumn Koo ( @email ) and Donna Thompson ( @email ) as soon as you find out about your conflict to arrange a late exam.

How to Opt Out of AP Exams
Students will receive an opt-out form that details the courses they are schedule for, as well as how many AP exams they have taken so far. The opt-out process will begin on October 7. Students will receive their AP opt-out form from their Homeroom ROAR teacher. The deadline to opt out is on October 31. The opt-out form must be signed by the parent and returned to the Student Services office. Opt-out decisions cannot be reversed after the final exam ordering deadline, November 14.
Test Format
Tests will be in a variety of formats this year. The College Board website has more information about specific tests and how they will be administered. All students need to know how to login to their College Board account using their email address and password for all digital and hybrid digital exams.

Test Day Issues
What if I’m sick on test day?
Students should make all efforts to take AP tests on the College Board scheduled day. If students are extremely ill on the day of the test and unable to make it to school, they need to contact Autumn Koo and Donna Thompson, AP Coordinators, at @email and @email on the morning of the test . A note is required to take a late test, and failure to provide documentation forfeits your right to take a late exam; there are no exceptions.
What if I get caught in traffic and run late on the day of the test?
Unfortunately, once the test has started, students will not be admitted. Plan ahead and plan to be early for the test so this is a non-issue. A late test cannot be given for this situation.
What to Bring on Test Day
What am I allowed to bring with me to the test?
- Pencils or pens for hybrid and paper exams (non-mechanical, several)
- Calculator (for certain exams); please review the AP Exam calculator policy to ensure you have the correct type and know which exams allow them
- Sweater/sweatshirt for the room - dressing in layers is best!
- Chromebook (fully charged) and charger.
- Water bottle and light snack in a clear Ziploc with your name on it
That is all students should bring!
Specific exam information for each course, such as calculators you might be allowed to have, can be found here: https://apstudent.collegeboard.org/takingtheexam/exam-policies/exam-day-policies
What NOT to Bring on Test Day
Can I have my cell phone with me on the day of my test?
No. Leave your cell phone. You will not be able to use it and it might result in an irregularity on test day; this could include your score being invalidated.
What else should I leave at home or in my locker?
Students should not have any of the following with them on test day:
- Electronic devices – cell phones, air pods, smart watches, iPods, MP3 players, digital cameras,
- Extra materials – books, compasses, mechanical pencils, correction fluid, colored pencils, pencil cases
- Backpacks
- Tissue boxes
- Scratch paper (this will be provided to you by the proctors)
- Watches that beep or have an alarm
- Portable listening devices or recording devices (even with headphones and even if you’re done with a section early)
- Calculators (unless taking Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Physics C-Mech, Precalculus, or Statistics). Visit the most current list of AP-approved calculators on the College Board student site.
- Clothing with subject-related information
Testing with Accommodations
Students who have an IEP or 504 do not automatically receive College Board accommodations and must apply to be approved to use on College Board assessments.
Submitting Testing Accommodations
Students who would like to apply to the College Board for testing accommodations through their school must submit application and parental consent forms before January 5, 2026 in order to provide schools time to meet the submission deadline established by the College Board. Families can also submit requests directly to College Board.
Please note that testing accommodations listed on IEPs or 504s are not automatically granted for AP testing, so families must apply separately to the College Board. If a student already has College Board accommodations approved from a previous PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, SAT, or AP test, then no further action is needed. Once instated, accommodations remain in place for all College Board testing.
