Pecking at STEAM: Chickens Take over Camp!

First and second graders of the Fort Belvoir Elementary STEAM Camp!  38 students visited Whitman to learn more about the environment that chickens live in and to have hands-on experience with the thriving flock (many of which visited FBPS as chicks). After a meet-and-greet in the courtyard, and collection of freshly laid eggs, the students came back inside and made their own construction paper chickens to bring back to school.  The short visit was lots of fun and a great way to keep nurturing the relationship with our school community!
