The Furious Five Conquers Battle of the Books!

In an exciting showdown, "The Furious Five," a team of fifth-graders from Halley Elementary, emerged victorious in the annual Battle of the Books! They triumphed over formidable opponents from Silverbrook, Laurel Hill, and Newington Forest Elementary Schools.

Their path to victory began way back in October when Halley librarian, Ms. Hall, introduced the fifth-grade classes to this year's booklist. Eager students formed teams and dedicated themselves to reading every single book. The teams even met during lunch to discuss the stories and quiz each other.

By March, the competition was fierce as all of Halley's fifth-grade teams battled it out to determine their school's champion. Using Kahoot, they answered challenging questions about the books, and ultimately, "The Furious Five" was crowned Halley's top team!

The team then traveled to Silverbrook Elementary for the final competition. Cheering them on were Mrs. Duchaney and a lively group of fellow Halley students. "The Furious Five" dominated both the Kahoot and Jeopardy rounds, securing their well-deserved victory!
