School Summary

Armstrong Elementary is an inclusive community that supports all students in achieving academically and socio-emotionally, using data to inform decisions by collaborative teams. Our highly motivated and dedicated staff encourages students to reach their fullest potential. This inclusive and supportive environment helps students to learn academic concepts and develop problem-solving skills that will help them succeed in all aspects of life.

Students participate in an instructional program that reflects and supports the Virginia Standards of Learning and the Fairfax County Program of Studies. General education teachers work closely with special education teachers and specialists to create a collaborative team approach, providing scaffolded and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students.

Armstrong is fortunate to have an active and supportive Parent Teacher Association (PTA). We value the special partnership between the school, parents, and community as we  provide a safe and welcoming space for students and staff.
