Throughout your studies at Grand Canyon University, you may participate in a wide range of group projects. To complete these assignments, your instructor will place you in a group with a few of your classmates.
Once your instructor has placed you in a group, you will gain access to a team-specific forum for you to discuss and collaborate on the assignment. This group can be accessed from the Assignment Details page by clicking Go To Group, or by selecting Groupsfrom the navigation menu on the left side of the classroom.
Some classes contain multiple group assignments, and instructors must create a new group for each assignment. If you’ve been added to multiple groups, you’ll see each group listed. Click Go to Groupfor whichever group you want to access. If you have only been added to one group, you won’t see this page at all and will instead be taken directly to the group forum.
The group forum contains two tabs: Collaborationand Assignments. If you’re a member of multiple groups, you can switch to another group forum by clicking the small icon next to the group name.
The Collaboration tabis where all group communication takes place. Within the Collaboration tab, you can post comments or upload documents to share with other group members.
If you’d like to attach a file to your group forum, you can do so by clicking Add Attachmentbelow the text box and then selecting your document. Please keep in mind, when uploading files, you can only upload 10files, with each file having a maximum size of 20 MB.
As you engage with your group, you will receive notifications about new messages. Depending on your alert settings, you will be notified through the Alerts bell iconin the top right corner of your classroom. Clicking this icon will open the My Alerts window, where you can easily navigate to new CLC group collaboration posts.

You can easily keep track of member activity and resources using the menu on the right side of the page. The most recent activity from any group member will be tracked with a timestamp under the Member Activityheading. Any documents that are uploaded to the forum will appear under the Resourcesheading.
Selecting the linkbeneath any resource will open a new tab with a preview of the uploaded file.
The Assignments tabprovides details about the assignment, including the start and due date, point value, and rubric.
