    • Organizational Management-
      Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Master of Science in Health Administration program will develop skills necessary to produce optimal systematic efficiencies for a variety of health care models.
      • Analyze the impact of various stakeholders on health care policy formation and structures.
      • Differentiate among various forms of governance.
      • Examine measures of current and pending legislation and the impact on health care consumers, organizations, and systems.
      • Apply change management theory to provide the perspective, authority, and skills required to support effective transformations.
      • Describe reporting requirements for the health care marketplace and their impact on management strategies.
    • Communication and Interpersonal Effectiveness-
      Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Master of Science in Health Administration program will be able to demonstrate effective communication skills critical to the development and maintenance of internal and external relationships utilizing communication theory, tools, and technologies proven most effective for the situation and organization.
      • Use proven, effective communication theory for information exchange.
      • Implement effective conflict management strategies based on situational analysis.
      • Develop collaborative, patient-centered relationships among health care stakeholders.
      • Demonstrate professional interpersonal skills necessary for health care leadership.
    • Leadership and Management-
      Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Master of Science in Health Administration program will understand leadership styles and skills required to build cross-functional teams, promote the highest level of productivity, and facilitate collaborative decision making among diverse populations within a health care environment.
      • Evaluate short- and long-term strategic planning for various health care structures and operations.
      • Describe financial impacts on comprehensive structural and organizational models of healthcare.
      • Describe functions and management of electronic patient records, reporting, and business processes.
      • Use systems-based theoretical applications in the management of healthcare systems and services.
      • Promote knowledge, skills, and abilities consistent with current health care best practices across service lines.
      • Identify the characteristics of a health care technology infrastructure which supports patient-centered organizational strategies, marketing, operations, and outcomes.
    • Data, Analysis, and Evidence-Based Decision Making-
      Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Master of Science in Health Administration program will be able to collect and analyze evidence-based data and information that can be applied to improve quality, patient safety, clinical processes, and health care outcomes for individuals and populations through effective decision making.
      • Apply evidence-based systems thinking to ensure optimal operational processes and integrative administrative, clinical, and business management.
      • Apply statistical analysis tools and techniques to support decision making and reporting.
      • Demonstrate data literacy through organizing, prioritizing, and reporting statistical data.
      • Explain the utility of point-of-care tools in data acquisition, analysis, and decision making in healthcare.
      • Use strategical analysis strategies for the improvement of the health care operational systems.
    • Professionalism and Ethics-
      Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Master of Science in Health Administration program will be able to recognize and respect the diversity of patients and populations, while abiding by the regulatory, legal, and ethical governance within health service organizations.
      • Propose appropriate leadership skills and styles based on situational developments and analysis.
      • Apply ethical patient-centered principles, values, and culture to interactions.
      • Apply professional, ethical, and legal standards of systematic diversity to facilitate operational effectiveness.
      • Demonstrate sustainable and ethical financial practices based on principles of corporate responsibility.
      • Explain the relationship among professionalism, integrity, and self-confidence in health care administration.
