You can use the new data migration service to migrate your users’ email and calendar data from Microsoft Exchange Online to your organization's Google Workspace account. After you set up the migration in the Google Admin console, the process takes place in the cloud. You can use the service to migrate data for up to 250 Exchange Online users at a time.

Requirements & setup steps for Workspace

  • The migration must be run by a super administrator. For details, go to Prebuilt administrator roles .
  • If you're using the Essentials edition, verify your domain before you begin. For details, go to Verify your domain to unlock features .
  • If you're not using the Essentials edition, verify your domain before or after you run a migration.
  • You must give each Workspace user a user account before they can sign in and use Google services. Data migrates only to accounts of existing users. It doesn't create user accounts from the data it migrates. For details about user accounts, go to  Options for adding users .
  • Before your users can start to use Google services, they need a user license. For details, go to How licensing works .
  • Turn on the Gmail and Calendar services. For details, go to  Turn a service on or off for Google Workspace users
