Arches, Red Brick and Distorted Perspective

Red brick archways are plentiful in the museum. Camp architecture , like the entrance to Auschwitz-Birkenau shown here, served as inspiration. The architect also wanted to disorient visitors “exaggerating the process of climbing by making the top much narrower than the bottom.”
