Canteras stairway

Colonia Canteras, in the Monterrey metropolitan area, was a battlefield in the war on drugs . The construction of a stairway with a series of plazas provided its residents with a new space where they could come together as a community, and it connected them to the rest of the city. Community organizing helped curb violence.
