Kasamatsu depicts a Tosho-go Shrine in the Ueno park in Tokyo . The Shrine is a Shinto Shrine and is otherwise called Kiyomizudo, or the Ueno Temple. Tosho-go denotes that the temple is a Shinto shrine in which Tokugawa Ieyasu , the founder of the last shogunate of Japan, is enshrined with the name Tosho Dai Gongen. The precincts of this temple are depicted in Ando Hiroshige 's ukiyo-e work The Moon Pine.
