Forest Therapy: Mountain Violets

Violets often seen in fields and around the base of mountains tend to bloom in purple. This bluish-purple color is known as sumire-iro in Japanese (“the color of violets”), and this color was first named in reference to clothing in the Heian Period (794-1185 AD).
