Wen Bao, born in Beijing . In 1957 she graduated from the Attached Middle School of China Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 1962 she graduated from Luo Gongliu Studio of Oil Painting Department, China Central Academy of Fine Arts and then chose to teach in the school. She is now the professor of the Oil Painting Department, China Central Academy of Fine Arts and member of Chinese Artists Association. In 1962 her maiden work Four Girls entered upon a new phase of group portraits creation of Chinese oil painting. She held solo exhibitions in Beijing, Taiwan , Paris and New Zealand . In 1992 she published Wen Bao’s Selected Oil Paintings.
