John Bloxidge, a gun and pistol finisher, was convicted at the Warwick Quarter Sessions for highway robbery. He was sentenced to 15 years’ transportation. He sailed for New South Wales on the Eden , departing 8 July 1840. In 1849 he was granted a ticket of leave for the district of Sydney , while remaining in the service of Thomas Turner, a contractor. He was given a conditional pardon in 1853.
