The St. Luke Cadets, the Juvenile Division of the Independent Order of St. Luke created by Maggie Lena Walker.
The cadets are assembled outside of the St. Luke Hall on 900 St. James Street in Jackson Ward . Walker's oldest granddaughter, Maggie Laura Walker stands in the second row (behind the uniformed men, to the left of adult woman).
