The icon of Prophet Elijah was tranferred from the Monastery's Great Treasury to the Laboratory for the conservation and restoration of icons of the Monastery in 2009. It was conserved by I. Sotiriou. Based on the exquisite technique of the painting, as well as its stylistic features, it is attributed to the Cretan cycle. It could even be a work of the famous Cretan painter Angelos.

Περιγραφή: Η εικόνα του προφήτη Ηλία συντηρήθηκε το 2010 στο Εργαστήριο συντήρησης και αποκατάστασης ζωγραφικών έργων της Ιεράς Μονής. Προερχόταν από το Μέγα Σκευοφυλάκιο του Μοναστηριού. Με βάση τη ζωγραφική τεχνική του έργου και τα τεχνοτροπικά του χαρακτηριστικά, αποδίδεται σε καλλιτέχνη της Κρητικής σχολής. Ενδέχεται μάλιστα να είναι έργο του σπουδαίου Κρητικού ζωγράφου Αγγέλου. Οι εργασίες συντήρησης και αποκατάστασης της εικόνας έγιναν από τον Ι. Σωτηρίου.
