Royal Wedding

Tapestry woven in wool and silk on wool warp made in Tournai (France) during the 16th century representing a wedding scene structured in different registers. It may evoke the wedding of Maria, heir to the Burgundy duchy, to Maximilian of Austria . The representation of courtly love, from medieval tradition, is present here, as well as the luxury goods, mainly textiles and garments, with which the Flanders tradesmen flooded the West.
