Siliguri platform

The Siliguri junction with the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway station on the right and the platform for trains going to Kishanganj and Assam on the left. It was here that narrow gauge, meter gauge and broad gauge are laid next to each other. The line towards Kishanganj was part of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway narrow gauge, which was converted to meter in 1949 and then to broad gauge in 2009. The line towards Assam was converted to broad gauge in 2004.
