Scientific name: Tirachoidea Jianfenglingensis

Thousands of insect species have evolved to take the shape, colour and even texture of the sticks and leaves they live among. By day, stick and leaf insects generally remain as still as possible to avoid being eaten by birds . Some also rock back and forth to mimic the movement of swaying branches and leaves.
